How long is the minimum rental period?Most storage rentals have just 1 month as the minimum period. You are of course allowed to pick-up your items and return access in less than a month, however you pay for the full month. Rental periods can vary, so please check for minimum periods indicated in each listing, if there are any.

What happens to my data when I request storage?Unlike other comparison websites, we don’t forward your contact details to storage providers until you confirm your choice. This is therefore less annoying so you don’t get spammed!

How do I make sure that my belongings are safe?We verify and make an in-person visit to all private hosts affiliated with BuurBox. They are also provided with ultra-destructible stickers that you can sign to make it unique. You place the sticker together on your boxes on drop off, so you can be assured that your belongings have not been tampered with.

Is there insurance?For BuurBox-affiliated storages, we provide a € 10,000 property protection fee if damages are not covered by the insurance provider. Every storage provider has their own insurance policy. Check the listing if they provide insurance. Did you know that your property can already be covered by your own home contents insurance? Contact us if you would like us to check the terms of your home contents insurance.
